Tennis
Tennis is a racket sport that can be played individually or in teams of two. It originated in France from a game called ‘Jeu de Paume’ that was played with the hands. The first version of modern tennis was lawn tennis, introduced in 1874.
The major tennis tournaments are played on clay courts, hard courts or natural grass courts. Other surfaces you will also come across at local tennis facilities are carpet and artificial grass. Within these court surfaces there are differences too, so playing at a different location can provide a different playing experience.
The Davis Cup is the oldest international team tennis event and dates back to 1900.
Whether you are just picking up the sport, have played it for years or are somewhere in between, you will enjoy one of our curated tennis packages.

Our walking tours are led by professional guides or locals who are passionate about their city.
We also have nature walks, where we provide information about the fauna and flora that we come across.
