Known as soccer in North America and football to most of the rest of the world, this sport of one of the oldest in history. It is also the most popular sport in the world, attracting billions of players and fans.

Soccer is extremely popular in all of our destinations in Europe as well as in Brazil.

Official matches consist of two 45 minutes halves with a 15 minute rest period in between.

Each team can have a minimum off 11 players (including 1 goalkeeper who is the only player allowed to handle the ball within the box around the goal area) and a minimum of 7 players are needed to constitute a match.

The objective of soccer is to score more goals than the other team. The team with more goals wins the game.

The ball is placed in the middle of the line separating the pitch into an offensive and defensive half. Players must stay on their half. Crossing the line that separates the pitch is illegal until the ball is passed. The team NOT kicking off cannot enter the circle until the ball is passed.

In addition to top league teams and games, most countries have 2nd and 3rd divisions. Promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season.

The World Cup, The European Cup, and the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup are just a few of the competitions that have games in our European destinations.

Of course there are also amateur teams and groups of friends who just like to get together and play on a regular basis.  In fact, any two people with a soccer ball and a little outdoor space, in a field or on the beach, can have a good game too.
